The Ministry for Primary Industries’ annual Good Employer Awards are a celebration of the great workplaces created in the food and fibre sectors.
By highlighting great employers and their employment practices, these awards aim to encourage employers across the primary industries to strive for great workplace practices, creating safe and healthy work environments in which employees are supported and encouraged to develop.
As well as internally raising employment standards, a wider media programme profiling the winners and finalists aims to change the negative perceptions and stigmas which have long been associated with the sector.
